About All-Star Football and Coach Mike Romanski
Coach Romanski has been involved in football for over twenty six years. He has played and coached for many successful programs. Many of his players have had remarkable football careers. Fundamentals are a huge part of his success. Most recently, Coach Romanski finished his 8th season at ARMY PREP, a post-graduate part of ARMY Football. There he perfected his craft under the likes of Super Bowl Coach and NCAA champion Bobby Ross, NFL lineman Stan Brock, Jets coaches Bob Sutton and Ben Kotwica. Numerous players became starters in the ARMY-NAVY game and served in the War on Terror.
As a local scholastic coach, Coach Romanski founded All-Star Football. This included teaching fundamentals and advanced skills to over 165 area campers. He also evaluated talent to help assist in the college recruiting and placement process. He was instrumental in guiding players to over $1 million of scholarships and financial aid packages. This includes the Big Ten, Big East, Big Sky, Patriot, Colonial Athletic, Mid-American and Ivy League Conferences.
His players have been named to the North/South All-Star game, All State 1st & 2nd Team, Monmouth/Ocean All-Shore, John tuggle Award winner, Top 100, All-Shore, All-Ocean, All-Division & Honorable mention categories.
While at Rutgers, Coach Romanski was one of the first assistant Strength & Conditioning coaches in the nation. He previously held many weight room records and developed necessary football specific, strength building exercises. A superb knowledge of chiropractic sports injuries, understanding of how the body gets stronger and better, along with his football skills, combine to produce top caliber athletes. His Marine Corps background provides the toughness needed, while his years at ARMY provide a disciplined and never quit mentality.
Coach Romanski was a 21/2 year player at Rutgers as a center, guard, def. tackle & nose tackle. He arrived at Rutgers after playing championship football in the Marines, while stationed in N. Carolina, Okinawa and Virginia. Also, he was a member of perennial powerhouse Bloomfield's first year of state playoff games, held in Atlantic City, NJ.
